As stated on numerous occasions, logic coupling is usually more detrimental to a system than type coupling for two reasons. Logic coupling is often caused by duplications of some sort in the source code, and it is invisible to the compiler. You specify the easy connect method by using the EZCONNECT keyword as a value for the NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH variable in the sqlnet.ora file.
